Dimension Member Selection Selecting dimension members for inclusion into an analysis or report
is as simple as dragging the item from the left hand panel to the right
hand panel. The right hand panel contains the various members and
levels of members from the dimension hierarchy.
Multiple Hierarchies
Some dimensions have more than one hierarchy. For example, the
Item Dimension has the Item Hierarchy which lists Items and their Item
children, the Type hierarchy which lists Items categorized by Item Type
and the ItemLeaf Hierarchy which shows all items regardless of their
parentage.
Calculated Sets
In addition to manually selecting members of dimensions, Calculated Sets or rule
based selection is available. Calculated sets provide for member
selections based upon hierarchy level, member attributes or member measures
values.
